Class duration:
50 minutes
Level:
Beginner to Intermediate
Props or equipment needed:
No Pilates equipment needed, but this class uses a regular bath towel for support and assistance. This class offers the option to incorporate hand weights (or a can from your pantry!) for added resistance if you prefer.
Here’s what this class has to offer:
Your neck, shoulders, arms and hands will get a bit of extra TLC in this class. Although much of the focus is on the upper body, you’ll also find plenty of active hip mobility work in this session. We’ll end the class with breathing and a short meditation to find gratitude and grounding in your body.
Is this class right for me?
This class primarily uses a neutral spine position, so it is spinal-fusion-friendly. It can also provide safe and effective movement for those who have experienced a lumbar spine injury, disc protrusion, or strain.
If you have a history of shoulder nerve impingement or rotator cuff injury, please use caution when practicing the full range arm exercises in this class.
A portion of this class is practiced in an all 4’s position, but you’ll find several modifications to accommodate sensitive knees or wrists during this flow.
