Class duration:

50 minutes

Level:

Beginner to Intermediate

Props or equipment needed:

No Pilates equipment needed, but this class uses a regular bath towel for support and assistance. If you have them available, you can also use throw pillows or a folded up blanket to enhance your practice.

Here’s what this class has to offer:

Dive into a side-body mobility session that focuses on gentle strength, spinal care, and full-body awareness. This class combines shoulder mobilization, hip activation, and core strengthening with mindful movement and breath work. This class uses single-sided flows to encourage you to notice how the different sides of your body feel and move.

Is this class right for me?

This class is spinal-fusion-friendly, and offers versions of exercises to benefit those with or without a fusion.

This class does not contain any knee or wrist weight-bearing/all 4’s flows, which makes it ideal for anyone dealing with wrist or knee issues.

This class primarily uses a neutral spine position, so it can provide safe and effective movement for those who have experienced a lumbar spine injury, disc protrusion, or strain.

Bonus: my dog, Maggie, makes an appearance in this video. And I mean, what could be better than a Pilates pup?!
