Here’s what this class has to offer:
After a warmup, we’ll dive into strength work for your hips and core. We’ll move through exercises that will both work and stretch your glute and abdominal muscles on your mat, then we’ll transition to standing balance work to bring it all together in a functional way. While this class is focused on the lower body, you’ll find gentle stretching and breath work for the upper body throughout.
Is this class right for me?
This class is appropriate for those with and without a spinal fusion. Modifications and neutral-spine options are offered for each exercise to ensure those with any level of spinal mobility can experience the benefits.
This class primarily uses a neutral spine position, so it can provide safe and effective movement for those who have experienced a lumbar spine injury, disc protrusion, or strain.
This class may not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty getting up and down from the floor or spending several minutes at a time on hands and knees. Please use caution if you commonly experience vertigo or have a knee or wrist injury.
